Oatmeal with Fish & Preserved Turnip

Oats are an excellent source of soluble fibre, protein and the B vitamins thiamin, riboflavin and B6. They also provide iron, calcium, magnesium, selenium and phosphorus.

120 gm fish

1.

Clean up fish & cut, sprinkle with fine table salt. Then fry with some oil until golden brown. Take out.

1/4 (1 oz) rolled oat 2. Clean up turnip / spring onion & ginger, shredded & diced
1 cup (8 fl oz) water  3.  

Regular rolled oats take around 15 mins to cook, whereas thinner flakes or 'Quick Oats' may cook in as little as five.

20 gm preserved turnip / spring onion 1 stalk  4.  Add fish, ginger & preserved turnip to cook 2 mins.
Shredded ginger 3 slices  5.  Season with salt and hot serve.
